Duties Performed by the Sanitation Department of Rishikesh Municipal Corporation
Carrying out cleaning work in all wards within the Municipal Corporation area.

1. Cleaning of drains in all wards through the “Nala Gang”.
2. Spraying of disinfectants.
3. Disinfectant spraying through tankers.
4. Door-to-door garbage collection through waste collection vehicles.
5. Relocation of stray animals in the city to designated areas.
6. Verifying reports of births and deaths and submitting them to the Birth & Death Registration Department.

Rishikesh Municipal Corporation consists of 40 wards, which are monitored by 4 Sanitation Inspectors.
